Why buy from English Racing?

But EBAY is so cheap!!! Why should I have to pay more for what you sell when I can get it for less?  Isn't that where you guys get your parts anyway?  What if it breaks, who is responsible?

These are some questions that we encounter and no doubt all of us have wondered at one point, why should I buy from a shop? There are many reasons but I am going to stay non political and to the point in this particular article :)

The main thing to consider is the last question, who pays for it when a part fails? Not so much what about installation issues but about the actual parts failing? There is an old but simple rule that many places of business operate under and that is: If we dont sell it we wont guarantee it. More or less we have a same philosophy.

If its parts we sell its because the research that we have done, actually using the parts we sell, and the relationship we maintain with our suppliers, if something goes wrong we do all the foot work and get the parts taken care of when parts fail to do to supplier issues. When we install carry in parts and those parts fail, the warranty responsibility becomes the purchasers baby and not ours. The headaches and time spent resolving these issues is worth something. Generally its worth more than what the price difference between our retail and what you "saved" buying Ebay parts.

The next thing is quality control. Many times when you purchase Ebay parts and its from a "known good" supplier you get what you expect. When you buy from an off brand supplier because its $40.00 cheaper and then something happens, its pretty obvious the 3 hours you spend and the phone time has most likely exceeded the $40 you saved.

Add to this the fact that sometimes items are misboxed, used, wrong application all together (and no way to return), you see that the $40 you saved yesterday can easily cost you more tomorrow when you show up for the install.

The market we live in today the emphasis seems to be less on customer service and quality and more about bottom dollar prices. The results generally speak for themselves, and the addage proves true: "You get what you pay for".
