Turbo Raptor Performance
English Racing Turbo options as of Jan 2010
We now have these kits ready sell. To order please call 360-210-7484 and allow 2-3weeks for the kits to be built
Install and Dyno tune is an extra $600 now and if you install and we tune its $100 for the tune.
Our base tunes will be good for sea level to 2000ft and I will make base tunes for higher elevations but they may need to be retuned at that elevation to get the full potential out of the bike.

We now have Turbo Cam shafts that work. On our Stg 2 kit we were able to pick up 15whp from the stock cam
Our 2011 FSA Glamis race video. Both turbo bikes have our stg 2 turbo. The Drag bike (Spocker) has a 105.5 cylinder 10:1 comp with a carrillo rod and our Stg 3 cam.
Going for a ride on the Shocker St. Anthony Fathers day 2010
Raptor Rally 2010 was amazing for our turbo bikes we now have 8 of
them running.
We just got back from another trip to Winchester bay Oregon. My bike now
has over 60hr at the 100hp level with no motor problems.
This time around my bike was in the 110-115whp range. Wow does it feel crazy in 3rd and 4th. I know it should break soon with how good it feels. Still trying to find the stock limit of the motor.
Feb 28th trip to Florance and Winchester bay
Jan 23 2010 day trip to Florance OR
We had some good races today. Still was only able to run my bike in the 90s for hp on the dunes. Will be making the switch back to the Ball bearing GT2860rs that was on there last. Seems to work much better on the Dunes.
Dec 2009 118whp bone stock motor
So we have now added a Dynatek ignition to our bike and were able to add a solid 10hp with a safer AF ratio.

Up date.
So over the last few mons we have been trying a few different turbos and combos. We now feel we may have found the best spool to hp there is for a stock Raptor.
We are now at 111whp still using a PCIII on E85 fuel. The turbo we are using now I feel could even make more hp but till we get timing control on the bike I dont want to push my limit of the motor.
Starting in the middle of 2008 English Racing wanted to see how their years of turbo 4 cylinders could work in the Quad world. We chose the 700R Raptor since it has been a proven platform that can take the extra hp without having to upgrade any of the hard parts.
So far our Raptor has made 73hp with almost instant spool and 2 full days of beating the crap out of it with no major problems. Our 700R is at 14psi on E85 fuel at this power level with stock motor, clutch, and cams. Our goal is 100hp with good spool. So the bike will still be a good all around dune bike from tree climbes to drag racing.
We are believers in maxing turbos so you get the most spool and the most hp possible which is very important unless you want a drag only bike. One of our main Techs ended up getting a deal on a 700R with a major name brand Turbo kit that was claimed at 75whp. On our 1st trip to the dyno it only put out 59whp at 7psi and would just puke out from being too rich if the boost was any higher, and this kit has no way for the owner to tune or adjust it. We ended up mixing in a little Ethanol to lean it out and got the boost up to 9psi. This netted us 65whp which for a 5k kit seemed very disappointing. Our friend with intake, fuel box, exhaust, and stage 2 cam made 56whp on the same day with his 700R and no turbo. There are a few other kits claimed to make around 100hp, but don't have the best power band.
We feel E85 fuel is one of the best ways to go in a Turbo quad. Reasons include:
- 105 oct which lets us make more hp and be safe
- Acts like an intercooler which really don't work well on quads since you are at such low speeds and using the hp. (Tree climbes)
- Runs cooler so Coolant temps are less
- Very cheap (under $3 per gal)
- Can be found in most major cities at the pump
Services For 700R raptors
What we are looking for at the moment is bikes brought to us for custom kits. Our kit pricing at the moment will be $5000 fully installed and dynoed with full tech support. We may keep some of our turbo sizes and tricks to ourselves, but will be very open with how we tune the bikes and why. We also will have options on how it can be tuned depending on what style of riding and goals that you may want.
Please contact us if you have any questions and we have no problems letting people try our turbo 700R to see if it is right for them.
