V8 Power in the English Racing Team Justin Nassey built 1210WHP Sand Truck

January 1, 2009

TJ and Justin Both started in V'8s before they built some of the NW fastest Hondas and Mitsubishi. This is a 540cu twin 42r Chevy. They leave it on a carb to save on money and to prove if you know what you are doing a carb works just fine. The Truck runs on E85 and has meth injection so the need for a intercooler is not that big of a deal. The truck is built for punking off rails at the duns and 100 yard sand drag racing.

Due to suspension traval and setup the truck is out of controll on the pavment so 1/4 mi times may never happen unless Justin changes the setup.

If you notce in the vid we are about 800whp in the start and work our way up. As we make more hp the touque converter is flashing higher and higer. In the start it would flash to about 6k and start making a pull but with the extra 400whp it would almost flash to 7500rpm. We feel once they send it back in and tighten it up the truck should pick up a good amount more hp to the wheels.  We are also planing to run the truck in AWD mode for the next round so traction and load will be better.
